Hello everyone, for June I wanted something special.
I already painted so many minotaurs, so I decided to paint a special unit to my army. A unit linked to my hero with the Crown of Sorcery... A unit of skeletons warriors !
The Crown of Sorcery allows you to become a necromancer level 3, but which necro would be serious without skeletons to summon ?
As I have the project of building an undead army, I collect some old Ral Partha/Grenadier/Metal Magic/ Citadel miniatures. Those miniatures are so characterful ! It is a pleasure to watch all the details.
The rule I imposed myself for building this undead army is to reject plastic miniatures. All my minions will be made of lead/metal.
So here comes the first unit. I think I have been inspired by Tom's unead for the color scheme. Red/Black.
As I had some extra-time, I also completed my last unit of minotaurs with 3 modern slaangors and 2 furies. As I had a unit of nine minotaurs (before the challenge) , now I can split them in two units of 6 ! which leads me to a total of 4 units of 6 minoaturs in this army !!
So now this army is complete ! Next year I am struggling between painting undead or dark eves full of winged creatures...
Will see !
This month :
2 furies : 30 pts
3 minotaurs with 2 hand weapons : 129 pts
25 skeletons with light armors and shields, standard and musician : 297 pts
Grand Total : 3157 pts
You've made a really good job of those, well done
ReplyDeleteahh - those skeletons, they're fantastic!. The champ on his shield bearers is top notch ✨ Also a big fan of scary looking dragon-types wielding sword and shield!
ReplyDeleteOoooh! Nice job on the lovely crumbly old skellies! :)
ReplyDeleteI really love the vibrant Slaaneshi magenta-pink you used for the claws. Can you share the recipe?
I love these old skellies, especially the leader on his patinated shield. I hope you get hooked and can’t resist building a whole army of them-I’d love to follow the project!
