Mike's Might Dwarven Throng of Karak Blargh April (176pts)

It's April, or I think it's April, who really knows. The important thing is that I did finish my monthly allotment of models within a period designated by the supreme overlord of miniature painting (or maybe he's elevated himself to the greater demon of pestilent painting competition. Working from home I had assumed that models would flow from the painting table to the finish pile, but that's not true at all. But I did finish the tallest members of my dwarf army, the imperial ogre allies!

I could happily paint these guys any day, they have so much character and each one is different so I don't get bored like I do with rank and file troops in other armies. If I had found the others and had them prepped I probably would have painted a few more. That said I did have a little extra time so I painted up a Ral Partha giant that has been primed but neglected for a few years in my lead pile.

He is very dwarfish both in look and stature so he'll usually be a bonus ogre in any fantasy lists I would run. So with that April is over and onward to May!

  1. Those Ogres are the best. And the Giant is great too, I've never seen him before. Well done.

  3. Lovely Oldhammer Ogres and excellent repurposing of the old Giant. I like the idea of a Dwarf-emulating Ogre or Hill Giant champion :)
