Nicolas Deamons of Tzeentch - March 2022 rank and file #2 (0 pts)

 ...Playing with fire...

So after burning my wild card in the fire of February, I though I would easily build momentum from the ashes as I was aiming for March. But I am learning, as a painter, that procrastination is my worst ennemy! Indulging myself good painting time is much harder than expected and I always end up spending my "me time" playing with the kids... Never the less, here I stand, hoping that the Overlord will bless me of his forgiveness for my late editing!

So here they are, the blue horrors of my "Grabbelings".

I started my painting process the same way I painted my pink horrors... But ended up adding another layer of Druchi Violet before working the actual blue base layer.

And finaly, I did not realise when preparing the minis... but I had an unwelcome intruder! I realised that within the last lot I but for this project, a recast made its way. Can you guess who the imposter is? Bad alloy that shrank to much and a lot of lost details...

  1. Great month. When they are all painted up I would not be able to say "Oh that is a recast." I like the combo of different color faces with the main skin tying the entire unit together.

    1. Yes, I love to play with the colors of the faces with these, I just drop whatever color I feel painting on the wet palette and mix a gradient going to blue. Plus I explore to pick my favorite scheme that will go on my Lord of Change 😉

  2. Lovely job! 0pts? Is that because the pinks turn into blues?

    1. Exactly, each time you kill a pink, 2 blues are spawned si it's the only way to field them. And in a perfect world, a well prepared army will have twice the amount of blue horrors if I dont want to lose to many troops to the void!

  3. I like the pastel colours on these. You'd never spot that recast in among the whole unit :)

  4. Yeah, recast schmeecast. Aint never gonna spot it in a unit! Nice job on these - especially for zero points :)The paler, fleshier tones of their palms is super nice!
