Last december, I was still hesitating between a number of armies, including wood elves, skaven, and even Melniboneans. In the end, I opted for dwarfs to complement the mercenary army initiated with the 4th edition of the OWAC. Six months later, here we are with 45 dwarfs, 1 gnome, 2 halflings, 1 bear, and 1 giant:
In January and February, I painted the missing mandatory troops for a 3rd edition army: 10 dwarf crossbowmen (including the famous Wilhem Tellson), then 10 dwarfs warriors, led by the Baron and his fool.
The next three months have been necessary to complement two regiments of thunderers:
The last month was dedicated to the army general (the priest of Grungni), plus a band of wild dwarfs and a giant from the Grey Mountains with his herders.
Combined with the miniatures painted last year, the table is getting crowdy!

ReplyDeletePick any model in your army and the painting is at a standard and with a level of detail most people will never achieve. Together, they make an awe-inspiring sight. It's a real treat for the eyes!
ReplyDeleteThere are loads of high-points in the army, but I do think you did a great job with the Giant to bring out the detail and character.
