Filippo's Krieg and Renegades Army - Rank and File II

March has been conquered in the name of the Emperor, ten days before schedule and with one of the army completed and ready to fight!

First is the second unit of Grenadiers. The transports were already painted, one of the first paint test some years ago.

Third and last unit of Infantry, 19 stands plus Commander. Again, the two Gorgons and the Macharius were already painted.

After that we have 12 Death Riders. I made a slight change from the initial plan. Instead of 3 horses on a rectangular base, they are now only two with a round base. This helps in two way: the units looks better and the extra horses could be used as an upgrade (Death Riders can have six more stands)

Last we have the backbone of the Krieg's army, a nine units Earthshakers battery, with nine gun emplacemets.

The gun emplacements were casted in resin from a 3D printed master. I'll use many more, glued as terreins on the main table, but these are part of the unit and must be used in other games.

Minis count: 24 Death Riders, 9 Heavy Guns, 9 Emplacements, 167 Infantrymen

Total: 1275

See you in April for the Renegades!

  2. This is a really interesting project to follow. They will surely look, in the lack of a better word, epic when layed out on the gaming table!

  5. They look amazing in such numbers, and then you look at them close up and they are also beautifully painted. I'm really going to have to think about doing my Space Marine chapter in Epic scale...
