I almost bit off more than I could chew this month as these figures caused me no end of trouble near the end. I started off by painting all the horses and they turned out to be a joy so I decided I'd do the chariot horses as well and see how things went. Then I did the chariots, all plain sailing so far. The problems began with the riders & chariot crews which were a right pain in the arse. Everytime I though I had all the mould lines removed the next layer of paint would reveal more and more and then some more. Then it turned out the glue I had used wasn't bonding properly so I took them apart, cleaned the joins and went again. At this point I was getting nervous but in the spirit of Golgfag Paul I pushed on through and finished them. Then the first set of transfers I applied to the shields reacted with something and, for want of a better word, just dissolved. Luckily I had more so I applied them and then they began to peel away. A bit of varnish has hopefully solved that, phew. Do you know what? I am delighted with getting them finished. I am definitely taking an easier option next month though! This months offering which are two small 5-skeleton units of Death Riders and the full compliment of 4 chariots.

On to the individual units so. The first unit are 5 Death Riders armed with a mix of spears and hand weapons for a total of 108 points.

The second unit of Death Riders are all armed with lances and have shields for a total of 115 points.

And finally the four chariots with scythed wheels. The second crew-skeletons are armed with spear and shield with an unarmed driver. These came to a total of 448 points.

That was a grand total of 671 points! As I said earlier I am delighted with them. Nothing spectacular and basically just bone and bits of metal but finished! Till next month
