This model was truly a blast to paint. With the mindset of "there can be no mistakes" I dove into my first try at wet blending. I broke out the colors that I had used so far for my army and added them to my pallet with a bit of water to keep them flowing. It was awesome to just plug dark colors and light colors where I thought they belonged. From there I just blended and when I was happy with a section I moved onto another and repeated the process. After that it was just a matter of adding some bright edge lining and bam just like that two hours had passed.
Next month I am going to fill in my Warrior Kin, Lords bowmen and maybe add some more Wardancers to the mix.
My Wood Elves are off to a pretty good start:
January totals:
5 Wardancers 115 points
4 Warrior Kin 48 points
3 Lords bowmen 42 points
February:
Terrman 280 points
Total: 485 points
Not to shabby for one good month and one short/slow month. I am going to need to pick up the painting next month if I want a killer fighting force to bring to the table.
Till next time.
May your horn ever be full.
May the trees over your head be always strong.
And may you be in heaven half an hour before the
devil knows you're dead.

Awesome tree! Love the deep dark mood of the colours that you have used. Go pointy eared guys!

ReplyDeleteNice treeman! It is inspiration for when I paint up mine. Hopefully your drinking horn is full of Jack!
