Paul D's wild-card with a few odds and sods, making up the numbers for 1287points

Hard to believe that during month one I was worried about making the points target. Then I realised - participants were painting more than the minimum per month and others said I could carry stuff over, if, I didn't get them finished. Hence, here a few 'C' series Amazons which came out of their Dettol bath at the beginning of May, but I couldn't finish, as I didn't have any bases for them to join their sisters.

As mentioned on the facebook page, I ordered a few more cat-riders via ebay to make up their numbers, only to be told they wouldn't arrive  until the end of June. So, I painted up those I had and moved on to something else.

And as soon as their finished, the others turn up early!

But, after I started painting Elves, from Foundry and other manufacturers, typical.

So here's the elf contingent, which will be my entry for this final month, having just received their first coat of varnish.

Next up, the new cat riders have a dab of paint

I've a few days to paint a few more figures, but I really need to start putting my 'new' stuff together for BOYL 2021, so I'm going to quit while I'm ahead, with a little hors d'oeuvre for my ogre cooks! Enjoy.

Four tribeswomen at seven points each - twenty eight points.

Paul D's May contingent - Cavalry and other Beasties (1206 points)

Well, where did the time go, I started with a load of good intententions which went straight out of the window! As a load of minor distractions accumalated (broken boiler, car, work emergancy trip to vets etc etc.) into one big time-sink, which I slowly had to work my way through (how do you eat an elephant? one bite at a time). So here's what I have managed to splash a little paint over.

Another Grenadier giant - 3306, Yvette, Enchantress of the Emerald Isles, by Jannine Bennett. The original box shows a very scantilly dressed figure, just shows how times have changed, for a steady two hundred points.

 

All  based and varnished with a scattering of C series amazons at her feet, which have all recently received a dab of paint, but won't be in this month's entry, as I don't have any bases for them.

Next a selection of  Amazonians riding Sabre-toothed tigers, again from Grenadier, I spent a little time on these girls, providing a more tiger like appearance to the cats and replacing the soft spear shafts with piano wire to give a more uniform/military pose to the unit. Which at forty eight points each provides a total of three hundred and thirty six points for seven of them.

The next batch are a selection of female Centuars carrying bows there were to be more of them but my order of Shadowforge Miniatures turned up short so I added Chiral, Centuar captain by Reaper miniatures 14497 to act as a champion until my original order can be filled. Centuars carrying bows and wearing light armour and shields come in at  thirty seven points each and the champion carrying an additional spear and wearing barding, there's also a centuar level ten wizard - gives a total of four hundred and seventy points.

Next up, a small Amazonian giantess from Grenadier for another two hundred points

Following up on my idea of mixing and matching the races within this force, I traweled Ebay in search of Female ogres and found these girls, who'll play the part of the army cooks! (Nil points)

So, altogether for the group shot.
