Lissanne's Tigers of Scourge -March Ogre team (monster/leader month)

Clump clump, clump..."Hey, we wants to play.  We're da Big Guys!"  "Just you five? Here to play ball?"   "We no need ball!"  It was hard to argue with them, but Skye Pilot did get them to change their name to the Tigers of Scourge, and accept some small guys.  Which they happily did when they found they could toss them!

This month, Ogres!  There are a couple of Bloodbowl ogres, a couple of  metal Bloodbowl Orcs which due to scale creep are way too big for orcs, but just right as Ogres, so Ogres they became.  And one more.   Variety is good!
Here are the big guys!

Studs, who decorates himself by driving nails into his body

Spike- Wears a lot of armor.  No one wants to tell them to take off the armor...

Back side shot

This one is half orc half ogre, He calls himself Tiger Eye, the others call him Pee Wee.

Morg n Thorg- Since I have a Morg on the Human team, I can only assume he's playing for both!

And a back shot

Lucky- Ogre blessed by Jubilex and altered somewhat... ok, altered a lot!  He is even dumber than before, and tends to take a bite out of whatever he picks up, snotling, gameball or in this case the ref!  He sure keeps the clerics busy!

I had actually started modifying this troll for the first team I built,  my Orc team, Duri's Hooligans.  but ended up with a better fiigure.  Now this fellow will finally see play!

And 11 Snotlings plus

The Snotlings are all modified to have no weapons and are wearing Bloodbowl gear.  This gives me 11 unique models!   Here are this season's victims...err....recruits.

I also painted an Apothecary

A Cheerleader,

and took the opportunity to paint the drunken fans passed out in their own vomit!

And since Goblin Star Players are allowed, I added Boomer Dribblesnot and Hobbla Blackwort to the roster.

And this is everything

This is probably the most figures I am going to get done in a month this OWAC.   As much as I want to play with my new teams, Battle Reports must go by the wayside, as I picked up a big job (which I love!) and am working hard at that.  Since I paint figs to relax after painting, finishing the OWAC is not an issue, and I have already made progress on April!  We'll see if I can do one or two games for Wildcard month, but sometimes life intervenes.

Til next month!

Chris' Chaos Dwarfs - 16 Crossbows with Level 5 champion - 248 points

These Chaos Stunties were a pleasure to paint.  The last set were a bit on the dark side so hopefully I have lightened the shadows whist keeping the grim dark feel of the army.  16 crossbows with a champion.

Very pleased with progress so far, although not as much as last year.  I am in another army challenge for a tale of 4 gamers so 2 units a month is a stretch.

Probably enough shooting units now so time for 30 chaos dwarf warriors next month, already undercoated last night.....

Happy painting!

Filippo's Krieg and Renegades Army - Rank and File II

March has been conquered in the name of the Emperor, ten days before schedule and with one of the army completed and ready to fight!

First is the second unit of Grenadiers. The transports were already painted, one of the first paint test some years ago.

Third and last unit of Infantry, 19 stands plus Commander. Again, the two Gorgons and the Macharius were already painted.

After that we have 12 Death Riders. I made a slight change from the initial plan. Instead of 3 horses on a rectangular base, they are now only two with a round base. This helps in two way: the units looks better and the extra horses could be used as an upgrade (Death Riders can have six more stands)

Last we have the backbone of the Krieg's army, a nine units Earthshakers battery, with nine gun emplacemets.

The gun emplacements were casted in resin from a 3D printed master. I'll use many more, glued as terreins on the main table, but these are part of the unit and must be used in other games.

Minis count: 24 Death Riders, 9 Heavy Guns, 9 Emplacements, 167 Infantrymen

Total: 1275

See you in April for the Renegades!

Byron's Quest #9 The Race Against Time - March Rank and File (237 points)

"A guide has led you into an underground maze that is rumored to hold a great secret. He has led you down many dark corridors and finally you find yourself in a room with three doors. Suddenly the guide puts out his torch and in the darkness you hear him laugh. 'Farewell, my heroes,' he sneers as he makes his escape. You realize to your horror that it is a trap! you must escape (make it back to the stairway) or perish in this dark, forgotten hole."

Our heroes must decide which door to take in order to return to the stairs.

Our bewildered heroes steel themselves
for the unknown

First they kick in the center door to find 3 orcs

The right door, 2 goblins and an Orc

The left door, another orc and 2 goblins.

3 doors and no way out! The methodical, and otherwise unhelpful (when it comes to the messing work of killing goblins and orcs anyways) wizard, begins searching for hidden doors while the dwarf searches each room for treasure.

After finding the secret door, the party wander down
the hall to find an orc waiting for them.

Opening the nearest door, the Dwarf bravely lunges
at his ancestral enemies, leaving his comrades
to defeat the chaos warrior.

Two fimir team up to master depth perception

Two orcs in a closet. Clearly up to no good.

Once again, the methodical wizard tells the barbarian
to walk through the secret door he found.

Orcs lie in wait around each corner of the long corridors

Another orc in the far corner

The last foes before the stairs, 4 measly goblins

To fulfill the needs of this quest I painted:
10 orcs
10 goblins
2 fimir
2 chaos warriors

All the minis for the month in one pic.

This brings my total to 237 points for the month.

Now, some pics of the entire army so far:

To date, the army is made up of:
19 Orcs
14 goblins
11 Skeletons
9 Fimir
7 Chaos Warriors
6 Zombies
5 Mummies
2 Gargoyles

For the next month I will be painting up the minis for Quest 10, Castle of Mystery and all of the remaining rank and file heroquest models.

ZeroTwenythree's March Skaven (235 pts)

March Skaven: Clanrats & Clan Moulder (Rank & File)

For March's entry I finished the figures that should have been part of January & February entries but didn't get painted on time.

First are the final five clanrats from January, including the champion, standard, and musician. The standard is one of the few "newer" figures in my plans. He scales pretty well with the older figures.

Next are some more packmasters, giant rats, rat ogre, and a bonus figure -- Throt the Unclean!

Another bonus, after finishing all of the above figures I thought I would make a small bit of themed terrain. Warpstone!

March Points:

31.5 pts         3 Packmaster with light armour
20 pts            10 Gian rats
38 pts            1 Rat ogre
45.5 pts         5 Clanrats with Spears, standard, and musician
100 pts           Throt The Unclean (lv. 20) w/heavy armor, halberd

235 pts         March TOTAL

423 pts       OWAC TOTAL (so far)
