Hello everyone ! We have seen last month some old Ral Partha miniatures and some Metal Magic beauties, let's continue this way for this month. Trying to mix as many range of miniatures in the same regiment as possible !
I started with my beastmen. I had some very old citadel miniatures, but also some others from other ranges like Cthulhu's Metal Magic (Dunwich Horror), Knighmare miniatures, and Grenadier Miniatures.
Once all fixed on the right base and all put side by side, they are all good to me :)
I also mixed miniatures that are technically not beastmen, like orcs, goblourd, and even 2 barbarians but I think they look cute all together, don't they ?

Did you noticed the horse had 6 legs ? The sacred number !!! |
Then I had more time so I painted some furies. You will recognize easily the GW's ones, but also some Metal Magic's Dunwich Horrors and finaly 2 harlequin squig like creatures... I recruit them all !!
Basically now I am done with troops !! So next month will be about characters and maybe my baggage train. Will see !
Points value :
20 beastmen, shields and hand weapons, light armours. Musicians and standard bearer : 264 pts
7 furies ; 105 pts
Total for April : 369 pts
See you next month ! It gonna be nasty !
Gloriously chaotic! I'm always a fan of a unit with mixed manufacturing heritage, particularly good when it's a chaotic mob like this, but it is a skill to bring them together effectively with basing and colour schemes. You've done a great job with these :)
ReplyDeleteahah thank you, I love doing that, I am glad you notice it and like it !
DeleteWith your painting, you’ve managed to successfully unify a very eclectic collection of miniatures. The units look fantastic, and it’s a joy to study the photos and notice all the different models you’ve included. I really like the pre-slotta beastmen, and it was fun to come across the mounted one. I had the chance to see the beastmen from Ansell’s Chaos army this spring, and your non-winged unit shares some of the same spirit with it's variety of miniatures.
ReplyDeletethank you my friend !! I love preslota beastmen too. It's a shame they are so expensive now but they are all extraordinary !
DeleteOriginal lead, graced by a delicate touch of colour, no more to say.
ReplyDeleteSome brilliant miniature choices, yet again. Somehow you keep finding things that I've never seen before - I hope that keeps going :)
ReplyDeleteSeconding shadespyre - I've never seen some of those models. Great job in combining them all in to a cohesive chaotic force! 👊
ReplyDeleteWho doesnt love a good unit of beastmen? The servitor of the outer gods is a good musician choice, never thought about it.
ReplyDeleteYour army is getting stronger and stronger.
