Plans for April:

I lost March month and try go get back to business. Flaggelants looks to be easy win, tileans are a bonus from previous week. Both units has a place in my heart as both units were present in my best and only one playing this army in 5th edition.

Realization:

I don't remember how hard was yellow colour in the pre-contrast times ;) I'm not very proud of effects, but still not bad from the distance. As I predict flaggelants painting was really fast, tileans take more attention. I'm far away from my workshop and I forget to take the banner for tileans. It would be added in next days.

 Pyromancers - masters of fire - are the most unstable and terrible wizards. Any time when something burns around, one of this strange magos is nearby...

Plans for February:

Another month that I had different plans (January shall be month of halflings, February shall be a month of Halflings.. March would be ..).

But I decided to finish archers from group no 3 and bright wizard from the extra stuff.

Realization:

Bright wizard is iconic person in Warhammer world. Yellow-orange-red colours need to be used. From the other hand bowmans is rather connected with hunters or scouts - green/brown people from woods. But also I had in my mind that there were one unit of archers from Dark Omen game:

Why not try to do Helmgart Bowmans? But blue was to bright, whole models was too dark..

 Plans for January:

I decided to take one of the most iconic units of Oldhammer Empire - Reiksguards on foot. They are slow, they don't have good offensive or defensive skills, but they look impressive.

Realization:

I started month with huge entushiasm, although after week of paintwork I had two weeks of other activities.. And it means that last week was really busy ;)

My idea was not using contrast nor speedpaints. I forget how hard and time consuming is classic painting without modern cheats..

Pokrzyw's Empire Army - Introduction post - OWAC IX

 Hello OWACers!

This is my fourth OWAC. After WFB Dark and High Elf armies and WH40k Sisters of Battle force I will back to the Old World with Empire army in 2026.

My one and only adventure with Empire starts in 5th edition, in 1997. I borrowed army from a friend that couldn't participate in '97 Polish Championship. I won silver medal using this army first time (great pre-internet times that you cannot use forums nor armylists that won tournaments). The only stopper from collecting it was a budget. I was back to the Empire during pandemia time. I was always impressed by paintworks in 4th edition armybook - I plan to add all that units in the challenge.

Pokrzyw's Sisters of Battle - OWAC 8 - Wrap Up

It was the hardest edition of OWAC I participated. Sisters of Battle was my first 40k army and I spent hours painting them 25 years ago. Since that time I painted many armies, hundreds miniatures.. and I lost my love to these miniatures. Although ecclesiarchy entered my workshop and under threat of penance I finished challenge.

I would like to congratulate all those who avoided field of bones and completed their great armies! You are the heroes!
