Mariano´s Wood Elves - Glade runners and some Warrior kinbands (215 pts)

So here we are, first month is over and I have some wood elves to show... Great, I haven't fall on the first month!!!

First of all, I have painted part of the army couple of years ago so the color scheme is clear. Anyway, I don't believe a wood elves army should have a closed color schemen so my only worry is to add as many diferents greens as possible.

What have I done this month...?

• 10 Glade runners - 160 points
• 5 Warrior kinbands with light armour - 55 points

Yes! 215 on the first month.

The Glade runners... Well, these guys have the responsability of patrolling Athel Loren so they deserved some love, I spent the first 15 days on them giving me the possibility to have some extra breaks on the rest of the month. It was a really pleasure to paint a full Marauder Wood Elves unit. Did some research on Internet but I couldn't find any other painted unit

The Warrior kinbands. Being honest, I had no good feeling with how they would be once finished but once I finished them I liked how they turned out and I think I'm going to change my planning and continue with the rest of the unit for the next month. What do you think? 

I added the symbol of Argwylon on the shields, the only place in Athel Loren in which the old traditions remains and what's more tradicional than the classic Jess Goodwin Wood Elves warriors...

Not quite sure if I will be able to finish another 15 elves, only 28 days on February, but this is going to be my challenge for the next month.

February is complete, with a few days to spare!
This month I've Painted up the Glade Runners and the Wardancers

Glade Runners up first.  I didn't realize just how buff these elves are until I started getting into the paint.  I'm still not quite convinced I'm happy with the orange hood on the leader in the center, but I'm otherwise happy with the results.

 5 Glade Runners = 80 points

Wardancers next.  I'm not sure all of these models were originally intended to be wardancers, but I think they'll do the job nicely.

 6 Wardancers = 120 points

That's it until next month.  Just started a new job, so I'm not sure how painting time is going to align, but I'm a touch ahead of the power curve at the moment, so I'm hopeful I won't need my mulligan.

The forest is alive with Squirrels of Judgement! (371 points)

This was kind of a weird month for me. I was hit with inspiration to paint an old Blood Bowl team and totally lost track of the month.

Within the last week I painted up a units of Glade Runners that I could either run on their own or use them to bolster my bowmen ranks.

These models were a lot of fun to paint up. I wanted to have a strong green feel in this unit to have them stand out from the rest of the army.

I kept the blue war paint in this unit to help tie them into my over all force as well as give them that 80's throwback feel.

Adam is a very fancy Wood Elf? Right?

For my final model of the month I wanted to start working on an ally that had the ability to bring some big magic and the possibility of a heavy hitting unit as well. 

I have wanted to paint up this Zoat Wizard Commander for quite sometime but could never figure out what colors to use. I have a few partially painted up for Rogue Trader but I was never happy with the way they came out so they just sat half painted. 

With this one I broke out the airbrush and just started playing with the colors I was already using in the rest of my force. I must say I am pretty damn happy with the way he turned out and I will be revisiting my Rogue Trader Terror Squad now.

6 Glade Runners: 96 pts

Zoat Wizard: 275 pts

Total points for March: 371 pts
