Nathan's How a mulligan saved my May (201 points)

The post says it all really - I reckon if I hadn’t taken a mulligan in April I would have struggled to finish the required figures in May. Having a number of figures nearly finished in April though made May pretty easy which, given my sporadic efforts this month, is a good thing. Anyway enough crapping on from me - here are the figures I did plus their points values:

- 5 hobyars with double handed weapons 50 points

- rocket launcher with two additional crew 70 points

- 6 mourngul renegades with shields and light armour 48 points

- level 5 champion for the renegades with light armour and a shield 33 points

Grand total 201 points. Here they are:

Ratwig's Second OWAC II Installment: Tashi's Chrysanthemums (216 points)

For this second installment of OWAC II, I present Tashi’s Chrysanthemums, a rocket launcher battery, part of Samurai Pirate Warlord Toru Sekiguchi’s mercenary army. The Dark Elf Army of Varl Heavy Hand utilizes Toru's mercenaries on such a regular basis that they are almost a permanent part of his army.

Tashi was an artillery specialist in his home on the Han peninsula of the Cathay land mass when he was taken prisoner during a raid. He was “convinced” to form a rocket battery utilizing some of Toru’s ashigaru. He and his battery, which consists of two launchers and six crew, are now an integral part of Toru’s pirate mercenary army. His name, which means "once more" in his native Han language, is usually associated with drinking, but Toru says it when he wants another rocket volley and it stuck as his name.

2 x Mercenary Samurai rocket launcher teams with bombardier (Tashi) - (216 points)

I have had these figures since I broke them out of packaging back in 1988. They were part of a planned Army of Nippon from the Ravening Hordes book from 2nd Edition. They were even primered way back then, but sat in a box until this challenge brought them back into the light and they actually got painted. A long wait...

Ratwig's OWAC II Dark Elf Intro

Hello, I’m Ratwig (SA). I am continuing the Dark Elf army I started in OWAC I earlier this year. I will be adding some more required troops – I still need to field 40 warriors. So, I went through what I had on hand and came up with the following painting plan:

10 x Shadows (200 points)

12 x Witch Elves – a character and a unit with crossbows this time (294 points)

20 x warriors – the start of a 25 warrior unit (220 points)

5 x warriors – one trooper, standard bearer, musician and two characters, more expensive than the 20 warriors above (277 points)

1 x Mercenary Samurai Contingent commander on Kirin along with 1 x Scorpion – the second Witch Elf unit’s pet and source of poison for their weapons (228 points)

 2 x Mercenary Samurai rocket launcher teams (246 points)

1465 points total.

Still preparing the figs for paint. Scorpion needs to be stripped and repaired.

That bottle of Jack I was testing turned out to be bad, so I had to kill it. I’m testing all bottles within reach to make sure they are safe…
