And so, we come to the end of OWAC III...
I would like first to thank Iannick for the opportunity to do my third successful OWAC, and more importantly paint all the undead I own! And a shout out to Skeleton Horde Contrast Paint, which turned a laborious job into a trivial one.
First, the Zombie side, 9 Death Riders, 30 Zombies, Zombie plague cart and a Necromancer
Next, the Skeleton Army- 60 skeletons in 3 units of 20, and 3 skeleton heroes in front
The Big Uns- Undead Rhino, Undead Dragon and a couple of Carrions
The Weird Ones- 10 Beastmen and 3 Wraiths
Dirge in both her terrifying and beautiful forms as command unit, with the Catacombs of Terror lich and the Throne of Bones.
Another shot of Dirge surveying the troops.
.....and the Money shot!
Always planning ahead, I have already pulled out a 2nd edition Eldar force for the next OWAC- the Defense of the Maiden World, with a more modest 41 figure count (though that may change), so I plan to return for OWAC IV! Once again, thanks to everyone for keeping me going!
Such a productive challenge Lissanne, including some really annoying pieces to put together! Bravo
ReplyDeleteAmazing. Loved seeing these coming together - especially the mounted contingency. Excellent work!
ReplyDeleteSooo nice! What a beautiful force. Well done.
ReplyDeleteBravo Lissanne! I have no idea how you can produce so much of a good thing and maintain the cohesiveness across the entire army in the time we have had! It's a great looking army :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing Lissanne, Well done!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! And excellent work as usual!
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for your kind comments!
ReplyDeleteGreat work Lissanne! The overall effect is magnificent. Well done!
ReplyDeleteIncredible work!
ReplyDeleteWonderfully eclectic force with some truly impressive centrepieces and a gruesome bold/pastel pallete tying everything in together. Absolutely dripping Oldhammer!
ReplyDeleteImpressive amount of painted models!
ReplyDeleteGlorious army shots, well done!
ReplyDeleteGreat mix of old an new figures. Great seeing some old classics painted up -- especially the Throne. But the Karkeel figures were a perfect match and added great character to the army. Great work once again!
ReplyDeleteAlso... nice touch with the mask pic. It's like looking back at the Warhammer Armies pics and saying/thinking "remember the mullets?" except in the future it will be "remember all the masks?" :)
DeleteThanks! Ye, so I can remember when I painted this one! And the mask goes well with the undead, I thought, so many classic undead figs have a scarf wrapped around their face!
DeleteAwsome army with some great old models! Congrats.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteWhat an impressive army! You've been so productive in this challenge, the main units are massive and you've painted half a dozen eye-catching models that could all be center-pieces. Great work!
