Nathan’s leader month

Ah the finish line is now in sight. It is a good thing frankly as I’m struggling painting up some of my genestealer figures. On that note my plan for May was to to my last lot of rank and file. That plan was progressing OK until I got the flu with two weeks to go. The weekend before the end of the month I realised I wasn’t going to get 10 rank and file figures finished so I switched to painting my leaders. Luckily they were party painted which meant I was able to finish them in the five days I had. And here they are two genestealer patriarchs:

Whilst all will become clear in my final post which will have point values what is going on here is this - I have actually painted up two genestealer cults which requires two patriarchs! The metal figure will be the old patriarch whilst the plastic one is the young patriarch. That plastic figure has been converted and he is holding a bone sword. My pic doesn’t show that very well - it is from a spare tyranid bone sword arm that I had. For the life of me I cannot remember where I got it from but it was handy to have!

Finally here is a pic of a couple of other figures I actually finished this month as part of some very long term projects I have - a talisman philosopher and two skaven slaves for advanced heroquest:

  2. Congrats on getting through May. My only gripe is that more pictures of your leader(s) is needed! Nice work

  3. I love the running patriarch! Such a great miniature. You have escaped the field of bones and live to paint another month. Keep up the fight.
