Hi!!
Last month of the OWAC has been a very productive one for me.
Well, being honest, as I finished the dragon before the end of the month 5, I had some extra time. So that, I decided to paint the warhawk riders, something I didn´t have in mind for this OWAC but with the extra time...
The models were a mix of riders: from Marauder´s dark elves to regular Citadel´s Wood elves, even a converted one from 5th edition; and the giant eagles from 4th/5th edition. And the surprise was that the painting was really quick, not even 2 weeks for all of them (after 6 months painting Wood elves, and two other OWACs, I suppouse I have improved my painting skills).
With the remain time I had 2 options: 4 Eternal guards or 6 wood elves with spear... I moved to the ones with less "nmm" on them. 6 elves with spears plus the treekin/filler I did the first month (and that was saved in case I had a bad month) to complete a solid 20 Wood elves with spears. I also repainted the blade of the spears on the old models to match the current ones.
Then I was sure it was the end of the OWAC for me, so last week I did all pics, for the 6th month and for the final post. But I still had a week before the end of the month,,, I wasn´t on the mood to paint the 4 Eternal guards that were ready to be painted but I really wanted to add some more stuff for my army... What was the solution? to add some Wood elves scenery (always wanted and never did it). One week to convert and paint a couple of scenery pieces, let´s do it!!!
This is why I´m doing my post 5 hours before the end of the OWAC (the glue is not even dry) |
Time to check what I have painted:

Beautiful army and stunning terrain! Great finish!
ReplyDeleteWow! You maintain an amazingly high quality of painting even while being super productive. The treemans foliage is impressive and the terrain is beautiful. A stunning finish to the challenge!
ReplyDeleteReally like the way your scenery pieces came out. Also a fan of the 'spruced up' (eh? eh?) treekin.
ReplyDeleteCongratulation for painting even more wood elves :p my favoritet for this month is the treeman. Lovely piece!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely sublime !! Bravo !!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your work blows me away every time Mariano - it is just awesome! The scenery is beautiful and so in keeping with the rest of your army. My hat is off sir!
ReplyDeleteWow. Just wow. That scenery is staggeringly good. And then the treeman is too. And the eagles. You have absolutely smashed it and it's been a joy to witness!
ReplyDeleteOF COURSE your terrain also looks lovely. They might be *wood* elves, but it's another year of *high* art completed.
ReplyDeleteOueff - what a month. Always super impressive, but the terrain takes it even further! Awesome.
