Hello everyone,
it was a hard month, this april i m telling you.
17 miniatures to do, even if 16 ghoulies are more or less following the same pattern and all, it wasn't easy.
So for the month of April, I did 16 ghoulies and my necromancer which represent 218 points.
The month of April
Here are they are with their grey skin, i m pretty happy with the result.
Here you can see 4 Gary Morley's ghouls with a otherworld one. He s completely naked. I gave him blood on his hands because he 's dirty.
5 more Gary Morley's ghouls, when they got released, I didn't like them, i was more into chaos warriors. Now i really like them, their potbellies, the rags and the silly weapons. The test subject is in the middle. 17 ghoulies, only 13 to do.
2 of the Muller's clan, a Morley (who look like an orc) and a otherworld one (naked too) plus, crouching we got one which is from the fantasy tribe line. He was kinda old and without details but I tried to make him look good (he s a naked one too).
The Lord of the army and bodyguards
The necromancer is a citadel wizard, he looks really mean. He got the golden medal of doom allowing him to summon ghouls and raise undeads. What a mean bugger.
For May, what's left to do? 13 ghoulies and the plague cart.
This shall allow me to finish the challenge. The month of June will be for the final army shot plus some extras, more zombies and a couple of Heroes.
That's it, I hope you enjoyed my post, see you in May.
Now i m going to check your posts.
I love your color choices, so much so I'm stealing them for my ghouls.
ReplyDeleteLove these! I have a similar feeling about those ghouls - didn’t initially like them but they grew on me. And the Wizard is just another reminder of how good the sculptors were at citadel back in the day
ReplyDeleteI also didn't like Morley's ghouls much, but now I prefer them to all others! You did a grey-t job with the grey skin, btw.
ReplyDeleteI'm really liking the skin tone on those ghouls, very nice.
ReplyDeleteFeral looking. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteNice work! Love the color scheme of the ghouls.
ReplyDeleteThanks you guys, if you want to know the different steps for the skin you can find them in the blog the garden of Hecate. The author explains it step by step.
ReplyDeleteSybou (for some reason my name changed to goules ...)
I remember I had a unit of these old style ghouls, back in the days, and I liked them very much. You did a very nice job wioth them!
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say? Now I want to add ghouls to my army.
ReplyDeleteFantastic example of how good a blended set of minis from different manufacturers can look, and a great colour scheme to let that Necromancer really pop out of the unit while looking coherent. Top work! :)
