Adrian's orcs idles of March (201.5 points)

-Oi! Let's do an epic last standing pose!

Almost 20 days of lockdown, I had to really do a good job because there is no excuses now for not painting everything.
I completed the big'un unit and started with some members of the other units to see how the trial painting schemes play in the actual miniatures.

So here are the results of a complete month in quarantine:

10x Orc arrer boys
Light armour + bow (duh) + shields. Yes, I painted all the shields of the month at last.
With a cool banner I am very proud of and a musician to celebrate it.
And the good ol' Harboth (lvl 5)

I looked for the of the icon banner but I never found if Harboth archers have had one, so I came with the little Wilhelm Tell.

Next, the banner and the last part of the big'un company:

3x Orc Big 'Uns
Light armour + Spears + Shield
The big banner boy

Starting now with the meanest and strongest:

2x Giant Black Orcs
With extra hand weapons for choppy stuff.

Lastly:

1x Goblin
With shield and spear (the unit as a whole, not him).

This goblin came in the same lot as the lesser goblin and think of them as a comic duo, much like the goblin Bud Spencer and Terence Hill.

Ah! I painted all the shields, even the ones I forgot in the last updates. So here they are.

The family photo so far. Ready to pillage, maim and burn.

Stay tuned for the next month of lockdown paintjobs if we haven't become even more mad at that point.

Adrian's out!

  4. That was a very productive month! Nice gritty look to the growing army now due to the subdued palette. The standards really draw the eye and look good. Taking very nice shape! Let's hope the next few months are just as productive.

  5. Very nice collection of both old classic and new classic orcs and your painting style matches the feeling of 3rd edition orcs very well. Especially love the freehand on the shields.

  6. Lovely orcs! Really dark and menacing paint job!! I love how you've painted the midddlehammer champion - he's never been a figure I really fell in love with, but your paint job has me re thinking this 👍 can I take the right flank in the huge orc Waaagghhh going on this year? 👍😂

  8. Nice variety of figures. I really love the banner idea for Harboth's archers. Still a fan of your orc skin tones too, nice work once again!
