What have I done?!
It's not like I remember! Ah.... the joys of getting old.
Well, joining the OWAC is like being back in school and you have to just turn in whatever you were able to get done as the deadline closes in. I figured it would be back like when I could turn out an army in a week... forgetting that life happened.
But here we go anyway. Ay, Ay, Ay Oh!
The tip of the spear... or the edge of the axe if you will. The blackguard are on the march.
These pirates from the far north while dark of heart are still elves. I decided not to go the drow style route, instead trying to focus on shadows over bright colors. They still have the Naggaroth purple and gold but mixed in with some turquoise, teal(ish) and traditional elf flesh color.
Forming up... they seem to have forgotten to attach their banner.
But ready to fight they are. A 15 man strong unit with command they run at 270 points. With their wicked sharp axes they will slam into enemy lines and try to fell their foes before they can strike back.. because let's face it... they're still elves.
Who will join the battlefield next? There seems to be a slight rumbling and growling coming from behind the hills...
Looking good! No worries, you made the deadline!
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice turquoise/teal colour! Looking good, although I did think that you were going to go full sea-shanty on us :)
ReplyDeleteStarting with a badass unit !!! Original colour scheme, I like it !
ReplyDeleteVery nice, I always like a good teal colour scheme!
ReplyDeleteVery nice, no good reason why Evil has to be drab, after all.
ReplyDeleteExcellent Joshua. I picked up the DElf book recently...an army I'd never really been interested in but seeing your unit, and flicking through the colour pages of the army book are certainly stirring something...
ReplyDeleteGreat choice of colours! They look suitably sinister.
ReplyDeleteNice work! And it's nice to not be the only DE entrant this OWAC!
ReplyDeleteCool colour scheme, great looking regiment. They may be turquoise, but they definitely look mean.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone. Already working on the next unit. Want to get ahead of the ball this time.
ReplyDeleteA sterling effort sir and I rather like the bright teal trim contrasting with their grim appearance. Like you say - an Elf is still an Elf!
ReplyDeleteNice idea to go with an elvish skin tone. The skulls are enough to distinguish them from regular pointy ears. Lovely work.
