Also some of my first experiment with freehands, and surpisingly not that bad..
Let's take a closer look
I love 'em! |
First were the five man squad of Terminators with tons of weapons, ready to deep strike.
I love Terminators.
They are the main reason I dropped WHFB (well, other than the fact that there were noone else to play with) and switched to 40k are them.
Super-humans in super armours, small walking tanks. Sure, it was the first days of third edition so they sucked really bad, but, you know.. style before rules
After the Terminators we have Chaplains and Librarians.
Mindblown, litteraly |
Never been a fan of pskykers. Between a bolt of psichich energy or a .75 caliber automatic self propelled missile launcher, I'll take the bolter every time (and execute the damned psyker!)
But they are a powerful choice, so here they are, both in power armour and Terminator armour.
Chaplains.. well what could be more awesome than a space marine? A very angry space marine clad in black armour with a skull helmet and wielding a power mace shaped like an eagle!
They too come in two flavours, guess which one I prefer?
Faith and ass-kicking |
Last but not least, the biggest banner!
Is it big enough? |
I think it's time for a group photo, it's really start to look like an army.
Emperor's finest M41 summer vacation group photo |
Come at me, May.. I do not fear you
The color scheme and execution on these is just so perfect. It almost fooled me into starting some marines of my own.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll do my best to completely fool you nex month ;D
DeleteJoin ussss....
Lovely job. I got bored of painting these terminators very quickly for some reason but it looks like you enjoyed it 🙂
ReplyDeleteI must admit I felt an homicidal impulse right before the bone parts..
DeleteI love banners and I love terminators (but everyone runs away from them (T-T) Good job! You have 2 more rank and file to go!
ReplyDeleteAnd I cannot why everyone fear them, they have such big hands for big lovely embraces!
DeleteWow - what a sight - amazing work on all those banners and your Marines are superb as ever! In the words of Sgt Apone, "Every formation's a parade. I love the (Marine) Corps!"
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteDang! You make me look like I've been using finger paints on my minis...
ReplyDeleteNah, I love your Dark Elves! Your cold one are awesome
DeleteImpressive sight with all the banners! And great painting. I love to see the difference between our forces, which I find are a perfect representations of RT vs 2nd edition.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm really envious of your beaky, they are wonderful sculpts even after 30 years (and you are doing a wonderful work!)
DeleteSo much 90's nostalgia, especially the goblin green bases - spot on dude.
ReplyDeleteFinding an original 1993 Goblin Green bottle was a blessing, it what makes them more "original"
DeleteFantastic painting, so crisp and evocative of the era. I love terminators myself but more due to Space Hulk than 40k.
ReplyDeleteGreat banners! I definitely need some tips in this area, and these are good inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. Great work!
ReplyDeleteThey're all so neat, kudos sir.
A printed banner is a wonderful thing. I'm with you on the terminator front... For me they were the best space marine. I like the shape of their helmets with the bulldogish jowls :)
Those models really take me back. Excellent job.
