Graeme's Skaven - February - Rank and File #2 (27 points)
Like the month, it's going to be short and sweet...
Without further ado, here's my February contribution in all their glory:
February is always a tight squeeze, so the Giant Rats were called up to make things a little easier to hit the 10 figure target. I painted up two of them as albinos, just to break up the dark colours.
The Skavenslaves turned out well, and I'm really happy with them. However, I've been fiddling with my lighting and camera setup and still don't feel the photos are coming out quite right, so the experimentation will continue until I hit the sweet spot and can display them in all their glory.
6 Giant Rats, armed with malice and evil intentions - 12 points
So, the dizzying total of 27 points of Skaven rank-and-file is added to my army this month!
Rats everywhere!!!! Hard army to work with for a challenge but at the end It is going to look fantastic
ReplyDeleteI noticed this weekend that the painted group is starting to get bigger - really hoping to be able to have an impressive horde at the end of this
DeleteOueff - that's going to be a proper grind. They're looking great so far, so 100% glory awaits!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Starting to feel like I might actually be able to hang in there! :-)
DeleteAlbino rats + Skaven is a definite on my Oldhammer Bingo card. Nice job :)
ReplyDeleteCheers! Yeah, got to have some points of colour in the sea of brown... :-)
DeleteAnother hurdle cleared! And some nice minis produced, too.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it helps, but all my photos look terrible off the camera and then I just whack up the exposure and so on in Photobucket so you can see something. There's probably a proper way of doing it, but I'm too busy painting to find / learn it! ;)
Thanks! I stupidly changed my lighting setup for the photos and I didn't have time to fiddle with the camera settings to correct things. Hopefully i'll work it out before the end of the challenge
DeleteMore rats! And you made it through February!
ReplyDeleteSurvived another month! Can't ask for much more... :-)
DeleteLove your colour palette as always. It is catchy yet those slaves feels like something you'll see in a dark age historical army. Keep up your fantastic work!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words Adrián!
DeleteThe muddy tones look so good on these! Looking forward to seeing it all together!
ReplyDeleteJust got to keep on keeping on...
DeleteReally nice use of colour. The army is going to look amazing!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
