Hello everyone !
Every army needs a leader, so this is the leader month ! I decided to paint all my characters on the same month.
First of all, no minotaur army of Slaanesh would be complete without a mighty Keeper of Secret. I imagine them worshipping him like a god, seeing themselves as aspects of Slaanesh, they are the sacred cows after all !
So no more talk, here comes Pierr Pale Made, the Depraved. Of course, as a genuine greater daemon of Slaanesh, he has tons of worshippers, dancing for him, feeding him the best drugs, giving him massages, singing, and much more other things.
I loved the idea of a minotaur shaman. Of course it doesn't exist in the rules, but who cares ? I had this miniature of cloud giant casting a spell and I thought it would make a perfect start. I gave him horns, a flaming sword and... a crown of sorcery !!! This is why he can cast spells !!
The crown of sorcery is an artefact making your hero a level 3 necromancer. So I wanted to keep using pale colors to underline its necromantic nature. All hail Kaltazar the Pale.
I am kind of proud of the result. He looks 100% stupid, brutal, and weird. I was thinking of making a retinue of skeletal minotaurs for him. I already have one or two. As I don't have money and time for the moment, I will keep this idea for later.
Then, finally, the warboss, I am not really happy with this miniature. Maybe it is because I was bored of painting this miniature, I think he has nothing special compared to the two others.
He is Guturax the Favorite
So who is YOUR favorite in this herd ?
Next month, I'll try to make an altar of Slaanesh or a mini-diorama. Maybe... maybe Kaltazar could have risen some skeletal legion with is crown of sorcery... hummm an interesting setup ! Will see !
Points :
Keeper of Secrets : 750 pts
Minotaur Lord : 380 pts
Minotaur Hero : 240 pts
Total for the month : 1350 pts
Grand total : 2860 pts
See you next month !
Oh, I do like those, subtle for Slannesh, not. The attendants on the first model, whose are they, or did you make them yourself?
ReplyDeleteThank you ! The attendants are 3D printed from another range. I think it is something like "the lost kingdoms", I just asked to print the slaves :)
DeleteAll three are chaotic and loathsome - great job! The Necromantic Shaman with the cursed hat (great bit of repurposing there!) is just ooozing character. I'm sorry your are not happy with the boos, but imho he looks great alongside the other two. His big pink claw and horns really pop!
ReplyDeleteAhah thank you my friend, I am glad you like them all !
DeleteLovely result this month! So hard to finish a model when you are bored of it, so extra kudos there. You've done a great job on him btw.
ReplyDeleteMy fav would probably be your minotaur shaman - I think its that face with the crown - it looks a blast to paint!
Thank you ! I love him too, I might rework a bit his beard because it is the same color as the base but I have so much fun making him !
DeleteThree brilliant characters there. That storm giant conversion is something else, like a partly remembered nightmare you've had after eating too much cheese while looking at John Blanche art! Well done.
ReplyDeleteAhahahah that's it :D
DeleteWho else could possibly lead this army! The Keeper of Secrets is, in my opinion, the finest of the Greater Daemons, and your version with its conversions is excellent. Guturax is absolutely top-notch, and the Crown of Command suits him significantly better than it did its original owner!
ReplyDeleteThe crown of sorcery my friend ! Thank you, I love the Keeper too. Mixing with minotaur lords allows limitless creations with it !
