Hi, I'm Paul and this is my first time taken part in the OWAC and I'm very excited about it, especially after seeing the amazing armies that are created each year. I used to play 8th Edition and have Empire, Tomb Kings, Burgle warriors of Chaos and Bretonnian armies. I've always liked Dwarf minis and have been collecting metal sculpts for a few years now. I thought I'd try and mimic the fabulous Paul Sawyer and paint these guys up in yellow and black as I think that's a great colour combo. The photo is a test model for the colour scheme I have in mind.
Below are a few shots of the models I've cleaned up ready for priming. There are some others including a general, gyrocopter and some clansmen but they will be shown in future posts.
Really looking forward to this so here goes...............

Welcome to the OWAC! That's a lovely looking test Dwarf, and I applaud the attempt to build an all-metal army, expecially of Dwarves. Good luck with the project, and don't forget to enjoy it :)
ReplyDeleteApologies for the delay in responding but thank you for the kind words. Have to admit that January has been a bit of a stressful month to hit the deadline but now that I've got the first unit done I'm on a bit of a roll. Hoping that the February unit goes easier. Looking forward to seeing all the armies grow.
DeleteBeautiful collection of models! And that test model looks stunning, kudos to you if you're planning to paint a whole army in NMM!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words and encouragement and apologies for the delay in response. After the first month I have to admit I'm questioning my life choices with respect to NMM but I have opened the door and must now commit to the pathway. Looking forward to seeing all the amazing forces as they develop over the next six months.
DeleteLovely test scheme! Can't wait to see this across the whole army
ReplyDeleteThank you and I hope that I haven't bitten off more than I can chew.
Deletea classic of fantasy army! I am looking forward to see them painted... also for getting inspiration for a project (the N-th one) which is lurking in my mind!
ReplyDeleteApologies for the late reply but thank you for the kind words.
DeleteWelcome aboard! You’re going to have a truly terrifying gunline! Best of luck to you and your dwarves in the coming months!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Not sure I'm enough of. general to produce a game winning army as I just tend to paint the models that I think are coolest. Looking forward to seeing what this talented bunch of people are going to produce in the next six months.
DeleteMate! Seriously looking forward to your project! Good luck sir!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Hope that I don't disappoint. I have to admit working to the deadline for January has been tough and I was late in finishing the first unit of 10 as I've come to realise that NMM isn't a good choice for an entire army. However, I've started so I'll try my hardest to finish. Also looking forward to some of the monster projects that are being attempted this year.
