Nathan’s leadership retinue (218 points)

Leader Month

Another year and another post for the OWAC which has been lodged at the death. To be honest I nearly didn’t make it and wouldn’t have if I couldn’t call on a leader post. But I could and did. I actually felt that just painting a leader was a bit too easy (especially given the other challengers efforts which are getting better by the year) so I also painted up an ogre wizard. Here they are:

So I have:

- Level 5 ogre necromancer 118 points

- level 5 ogre champion with double handed weapon and heavy armour 110 points.

BTW the figures are a Nick Lund ogre which he did for Grenadier’s Fantasy Warriors game whilst the wizard is a BOB Olley figure he did for Folio Works line of minis for the Fantasy Warlord game.

  1. The necromancer looks like a trick or treater with a skull bin for candy.

    1. He does indeed. Probably the only thing I didn’t like about that figure to be honest.

  2. I knew the Leader month would in handy ;-)

The necromancer is a great model, I've never seen him before

Well done on intelligently getting through the month - looking forward to some more bodies next month!

  5. Cant beat a bit of Bob can you! :-) looking forward to seeing more and I think what you say about the 'get out of jail' nature of the leader month reinforces what a good addition this option is to the challenge.

  6. Well done for getting in on the challenge - I have a feeling I'll be needing the Leader month to bail me out before long too! Bob Olley and Nick Lund - a fine start. Really looking forward to seeing this army - it's quite a collection of Ogres you've got there!

  7. There really aren't enough painted Nick Lund models out there. Like the others I don't think I've ever seen that wizard before. Such a typical Olley sculpt.
