Rank & File month 3
Hi guys,
here's my March production! Not an easy month (life is demanding) but I also wasted a lot of time... eventually I managed to finish on the very last day of the month ;-)
So, Grey Hunters pack: finally painting infantry and I have to say I was surprised on how many details they have compared with other Space Marines! This should not be scaring for someone used to paint Eldar but, well, Space Wolves have a lot of tiny talismans such as teeth, tails, gems, pendants, small bags, pompons... I mean, they are F-A-B-U-LO-U-S-, that's sure, but COME ON! THEY LOOK A DAMN CHRISTMAS TREE!
Anyway, here they are in their full 316 points splendor!

The second combat squad with leader
The balance is for sure positive, I enjoyed the painting and I am quite satisfied with the result. You may notice that decals are lacking: they will come, in the future, after I will learn how to apply them without losing my mind and, more importantly, without making a shitty work! (some practice is on the way)
Until the next time, fellow OWACers!
ciao, A
Lovely paint jobs on the Space Wolves!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing the complete force!
These look like they stepped straight off an early 90's era game board - you nailed it! :D
ReplyDeleteGo Team Space Marine!
ReplyDeleteYou joke that they look like a Christmas Tree, but look at that second combat squad standard... looks like the silhouette of a Christmas tree with star! :)
ReplyDeleteNice painting, I like the oldschool wolf color. Definitely a respectable entry for the month.
You can never go wrong with Space Wolf bling! They look great and I love that you included banners. This is a touch that most modern armies don't do.
ReplyDeleteFantastic banner-work, these guys are coming out great - I would love to see our finished armies clash on the tabletop!
ReplyDeleteThis super takes me back to the mid 90s, it's a passport photo of Andy Chambers away from being back in White Dwarf!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking classic marines. I really like the clean painting and the high contrast of grey armour vs red banners.
ReplyDeleteCant' wait to see these in person and play against them!
ReplyDeleteSuper clean and super classic, great work! The blackline on the shoulderpads is ace - especially when it's against such a light colour :)
