Nicolas Deamons of Tzeentch - April 2022 rank and file #3 (700 pts)

This. Guy. Is. On. Fire.

Well I am quite impressed with my results this month. I know it is not much in the eyes of many, but this challenge has brought me further than I ever did in the passed decade in terms of painting and getting things done.

So I give to you, the Flaming Fongoids!

Or at least half of the unit... the other half is still cooking! I went all in with inks and than proceded to softening the transitions. That was very experimental, certainly not wise, but very entertaining. Preparing these model was quite alot more time consuming than expected... I went through the process of pining them into the air and giving volume to the bases out of clay. I love this sculpting process, but with a deadline in front of me, I was forced to admit this is not time efficient!

The hugly face in the center is an addition to my original list. That chaos champion on top of the mushroom disk is just that perfectly grotesque figure I needed to blend in.

At some point during the month I had to take a step back. I was so happy with my progress that I thought: "Well, let's run that ultrasonic cleaner and build other stuff".  What a fool!

But what can I say, a lot of creativity came out of this chaos, such as the initial concept for my Weaving Watcher...

... And an intent at giving that Fraser Gray conversion a try!

  2. Yessss! This is OWAC magic at work! I completely recognise that sense of the OWAC driving and improving my approach to the hobby. This is a brilliant looking unit and all the time you spent on it was well worth it. Brilliant to see some more conversions creeping (or crawling?) their way in :)
