Rank and File month #II
Doble unit shot |
Well, I think I have never finished as close to the end date as in this February but it is done.
What can I say about Waywatchers? A real archetype for Wood Elves. I fall in love when I saw them on the Army book, above all, a black and white illustration of them with a Treemen
The original... |
But I have one regret with them, not sure if they work ok with my third edition army. If I had thought twice, I would have used falconers to represent the Waywatchers but I'm afraid is too late for this (for now).
It seems we dont need the points review this year on the OWAC so the list is quite easy to do it:
5 Treekins --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10 models
10 Waywatchers ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10 models
For the painting, I choose to do a couple of units with differents paints scheeme, not easier but funnier. I tryed to make them differents but compatible. And, of course, I was back to my beloved NMM. It has been a pleasure to paint them, really nice miniatures, probably, my favoutites from 4th/5th edition. I have done a minor conversión in one of them by adding a handkerchief on the face (on unit 1 with dark hair). The main diference between 4th/5th edition and 3rd edition is the quality of the cast, on these ones, the details are sharper and easier to paint!
Time to show you some pics... :
Unit 1
Unit 2
Hope you like them. For the next month seems scouts will be my choice, second and last unit with 4th/5th edition army.
See you next month!
Spectacular work! The faces are amazing, and the contrast between the greens and the red-brown bows is so striking!
ReplyDeleteYep... Agreed. very bright "camouflage" colors :)
ReplyDeleteOutstanding
ReplyDeleteAwesome work! They're fantastic :)
ReplyDeleteThat is fantastic. The work you have done on the unit is formidable!!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to seeing your army 🤞🏻
I've missed your NMM. That tiny spot of yellow where the tip of the bow is reflecting in the back of the swordblade is quite ridiculous! :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent! The cloaks are super awesome!
ReplyDeleteDude, these are sick! The basing is spot on to really set them among the trees. Painting is just immaculate as usual. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThe bows! The cloaks! The swords! All perfect. Bravo!
