Ed's Border Princes Artillery (200pts)

Well that was close. A week ago I was staring down the barrel of a mulligan. There I was a month ago thinking December would be a breeze, all that time off. Didn't really turn out quite like that; too much time spent in the boozer over Christmas.

Anyway, I'm there. This month I've opted for both artillery pieces - a great cannon and volley gun.

• 1 Great Cannon with 3 crewmen from the principality of Styrtia - 100 points

• 1 Helblaster Volley Gun with 3 crewmen from the principality of Munzig - 100 points

I decided on keeping both war engines rather plain as both sets of crew are busy enough with colour. I have to be honest and say I didn't enjoy this month's installment very much; in particular the volley gun crew. The guy with the barrel is a pretty rough sculpt in places, especially the face.

So this month looks to be focusing on cavalry. I think it was unsurprising to see a few mulligans used across the board. It's a difficult time of year to tie oneself down to the desk but I'm sure we'll see a good recovery from everyone for January!

    1. Thanks man. Went for uniforms that were unlike the list of traditional empire colours, particularly the pale green and black guys.

  3. Very cool! I like the polished steel look you've gone for. Not something you see very often.

    1. Cheers Millsy. I did toy with the idea of a bit of brass here and there but kept them plain in the end.

    1. Cheers Blue! Never painted any war machines before so a bit of unchartered territory for me there

  5. Just piling on, these are great. My favorite is the Da Vinci looking guy with the geometry on his clip board.
