Lissanne's Bloodbowl intro post- Let the Games Begin!

Let me start out by saying I was really not going to do the OWAC this year.  Really.  That is, until Bloodbowl.  A chance to finally finish all those unpainted teams, which was something I wanted to do anyway.  So here I am.

My plan is to finish 4 teams of 16 figures,  dwarves, ogres, wood elves and dark elves.   I also want to pick up a few from other mostly painted teams as extras, plus an oversize stadium, as the official board is way too small for some of the figs.  (For example, Bull centaurs don't fit on the board....and chaos dwarves rock!)

Dwarves- the REALLY old dwarf figures.  I only have as many painted as you see in the header.   And Deathrollers are cool to do, fun, but not so playable. And there is a cheerleader in there, so as you can see, I have most of the Dwarf team of 16 left to paint.   I will modify my extras to be star players...I'm pretty sure I remember where I stashed them upstairs!

The main pickup is the last 4 Chaos Warriors for my Malal themed Chaos team.  I think there's a Star Player in the mix.  Plus a Beastman Cheerleader!  So one month will be (I hope) Dwarf star players and the remaining Chaos Warriors.

Leader month was troublesome until it was pointed out to be Monster month also.   So my Ogre/Snotling team!  I have 4 or 5 ogres and a bunch of snotlings, which is a skeevy way to paint 10 figures, so I will do the whole team for Monster month!  The snotlings will get helmets and shoulder pads. But the team is only part primed.

Here are the other teams, the Wood Elves are not primed, and since I grabbed Harlequin doubles to use as Wood Elves (so there are no repeating sculpts) some conversion is needed here too.  My December will be busy!

The Dark Elves are primed, but not strictly old school, but I love these figs. The Dark Elves are one of the few teams I don't have painted.  I have a LOT of painted teams and don't want 2 of the same!  So you get these, too.

I may grab a few other old school ones to start teams that will count as extras, as I don't have enough to field yet.  Halflings and Goblins come to mind.   And who knows what I will find along the way!  Good Luck everyone!

And the best part- I don't have to calculate points!  Hooray!

  11. Happy to have you on board! Great looking project with lots of variety (should help to keep up the painting mojo) and lovely old models. Looking forward to dwarfs and chaos in particular. Good luck!

  12. Really glad you decided to come back for another OWAC - it wouldn't be nearly as mad and colourful without you!

A Malal themed BB team is all that is good with Oldhammer! :D
