Pete's Empire 3rd Ed - I Really Should be Painting pt2 (205 pts)

Month 1 effort

Well, month 1 is coming to a close and what a learning curve it was!  I have just managed to crawl over the line with 205pts but it was definitely a struggle and I have nothing but respect for all the brave generals out there who have managed to produce so much more and of higher quality.

I have managed 1 ogre, 3 halflings a wizard and 15 townsfolk armed with a variety of things but that shall be called "spears" :)

In terms of what this means on the table it is:

15 Ersatzsolder, Light armour and Spears - 120 points
1 Schwartzmantle (Level 10 Wizard) -85 points

I have taken some liberties here for appearance's sake, for example 1 Ogre is representing 4 spearmen and the Wizard is flanked by 3 Town Officials and Merchants who whilst not carrying their own spear are clearly financially responsible for equipping this militia unit.

Ultimately this unit will also be equipped with shields and number 30 troops....well, by ultimately I mean by the February deadline.  For that to happen , I really should be painting so thanks for reading.

  2. Great idea and great job painting them up. Love the expression on the figure with his arms crossed - “I am not amused”!

  8. Everything about this unit is awesome. Love how the models are all individuals, with a color scheme that ties them together.

  13. Lovely unit, I like the use of halflings on the bases and those burghers steal the show.

  14. Lots to love here - esp. the Ogre counting for four, and the Town Burghers turning up to bask in the reflected glory of the troops whose 'spears' they provided - brilliant stuff :)
