Filippo's Krieg and Renegades Army - Rank and File I

February has passed and thanks to a big push during the the last three days, I've been able to complete more than I expected.

(Sorry for the pictures, I'm still working on this..)

The month started well, with four Renegade's Sentinels. I planned to make it a "Vehicle Month" for the Renegades.

Sentinels (Old GW)

After the sentinels I started with ten Lemn Russ, with all the calm in the world. After all, they are quite easy to paint!

Half way trough the preparation, I suddenly remembered that they were not supposed to be in the list, but part of the extras for June..

Yay..

I scrambled at the desk and picked something else, and switched to Krieg.

There were no Leman Russ in the Krieg list, but a lot of transport for Grenadiers and towed artillery

The first two units are four Quad Launchers and four Heavy Mortars, all with Centaurs (8 tankettes, 7 artillery pieces because one was already painted, and 16 infantry models on the bases)

Mortars (3d printed and Vanguard)

Quad Launchers (3d printed and Vanguard)

The third is the first of two units of Grenadiers with eight Centaurs (8 tankettes, 40 infantry models)

Grenadiers (Vanguard)

But there is so much to do yet.. I cannot stop here.

So, thanks to a lot of Grappa to give me courage, the second Infantry Company (100 infantry models) was completed just in time!

Fix bayonets! (Vanguard)

March will be an interesting month. Half of the month is for the OWAC, the other half  for another big project, a Lustria themed board.

In 15 days I must complete one of the two sides, and my bet is on the Renegades.. but we'll see

See you next month!

  1. The size of this project and the level of detail you put into the models is really impressive!

    1. Thanks! They are quite easy to paint to be honest, the scaring part is repeating the same process hundreds of time

  2. So many tiny guys! They look great en masse, but you can see the attention spent on each of them, too

  3. That's a lot of models! No matter if they are small.

  4. oueff! A big month. The coice of colour for the bases is really good - it's not overpowering, and shows off the model as well as looking like an actual warground. Nice job!
